Going to a stage play in December for the video game, Suikoden and I was wondering what I could expect going to a stage play in Japan. In my mind, I just imagine it being very minimal and maybe the cast just wears fancy costumes and maybe they use music but the sets are just plain looking. Why is that? I guess to cut costs, but then it just kinda feels like a sort of radio drama then.
When I think of stage play I just think of like a colorful set and acting on the stage. But I guess it's different?
