Having issues selling gold in Osaka

Hi there.
I have a gold (men’s wedding) ring which I don’t need anymore and would like to sell it.
I’ve went over past posts, Googled it and asked ChatGPT for help. All suggested places, which I checked.
It seems that a lot of those don’t buy gold anymore (such as Kingram and other miscellaneous gold shops in Shinsaibashi area). Komehyo, which came up in previous posts, refused to buy it as it’s marked “K14” and not “14K”, which apparently is an issue (ring was bought in Europe).
Per Google some places may ditched buying used gold due to non profitability.

Should I continue looking, or is it gonna be a hustle?
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

  1. I think there was a small store in Qs mall Tennoji 4th floor by Noruma Bank (i think that’s the name) that buys gold. I vaguely remember seeing gold and platinum prices as I pass the store to the parking lot. Could give it a try when you’re in the area.

  2. Japanese stores tend to have problems buying gold not purchased in Japan especially if marking is considered off or there’s no marking. I would try stores that have xray fluorescence machine so they can be more confident about buying from you
In Osaka I tried 買取専門店 まねきや 心斎橋店 near Shinsaibashi
    https://manekiya.shop/shop/shinsaibashi
They were willing to look at my foreign bought gold with no marking using their x-ray and gave us a quote
