A Chinese tourist rescued a woman who had fallen into the sea at Jōgasaki Coast in Shizuoka Prefecture.

A Chinese tourist rescued a woman who had fallen into the sea at Jōgasaki Coast in Shizuoka Prefecture. He later described the incident in detail. The incident was reported on 20 September by the Chinese media outlet Beijing Youth Daily.

According to the report, the accident occurred on 16 September. Footage taken at the scene captured bystanders calling out to the woman in the water, telling her that help was on the way. Shortly afterwards, a man swam out and moved the woman towards the rocky shore. She was eventually pulled onto a local rescue boat and taken to hospital.

The man was identified as 54-year-old Yang Bo from Shaanxi Province, who was visiting Japan with his wife. He had arrived on 29 August and was sightseeing around the country while also visiting his child, who lives in Japan.
