Young people keep breaking into abandoned “Haunted” hotel with neighbors reporting noise and littering

TL;DR Abandoned hotel in Tōgane, Chiba Prefecture, referred to as "Hotel Katsugyo" by youths is rumored to the the scariest haunted place in Kanto region and attracting young thrill-seekers. Neighbors complain of sleepless nights from noise and piles of trash and cigarette butts left behind. Police have issued warnings, increased patrols, and urging youngsters to not visit but with no avail.

The property is owned by a local company that purchased it in 2011. There was a plan to turn it into a riding club. Renovation failed after wiring thefts and small fires resulting in increasing demolition costs. Barricades and motion-sensors were installed by the owner to keep people out but youths are still coming in to vandalized.

Just in 5 days in August this year, there were about 150 teens and young adults visiting the area. Police continue to patrol the area and warns on X about legal consequences and the danger of building collapse.
