New Tech, Cultivation Methods Used to Boost Rice Yields; Retail Prices Still Over 30 Percent Higher Than Last Year

Some farmers are testing smart agriculture, large-scale production and Kanden-chokuhan cultivation methon (dry direct seeding) in face of labor shortage and aging farmers. Kanden-chokuhan cuts labor in half but require costly machinery and large-scale farm to be profitable.
