My company’s pushing me to resign, and I need advice on the compensation they’re offering me

I've been working as seishain at this company for 4 years, and they're pressuring me to resign for poor performances. That's fine, wanted to leave anyway but trying to get a food deal and worried about paying rent as I don't have something else lined up yet.

They're offering me 4 months:

  • 1 months paid time off (my 24 days of remaining holidays)
  • 2 months salary
  • 1 extra month optional, if I'm still unemployed in 3 months

I basically have the choice to sign this today – or get a lawyer and hope it gets me more.

I'm not really into getting a lawyer – sounds like a pain and I'm not sure I'll get more out of it in the end. I already got a lawyer appointment lined up this week.

If this matters, it's a small-ish Japan based tech company (about 40 employees).

Looking for any advice or pointer that could help me take the best decision here. Thanks in advance!
