The Japanese government announced today that it will provide over 800 million yen in grant aid to Palestine , where the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate. The humanitarian situation in Palestine has deteriorated significantly, with Israeli military attacks on medical facilities resulting in increasing civilian casualties and a growing number of children dying of malnutrition due to food shortages. In response, the Japanese government announced that it will provide 861 million yen in grant aid to provide medical assistance in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank . In cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), Japan will provide health care services to local residents, as well as provide necessary equipment and repair medical facilities. Regarding Palestine, while the Japanese government has announced that it will not recognize the state, Prime Minister Ishiba , in his address to the UN General Assembly, criticized the Israeli military's expansion of ground operations as worsening the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and pledged to "make every effort" to provide humanitarian assistance.
