I have been working for more than 10 years in international trade and supply chain and I will be moving to Japan around the age of 35 to look for new opportunities I already passed JLPT N1 but I still need to improve my Japanese especially for business situations
From what I have read and heard from different people MBAs do not seem to be very important in Japan compared to other countries especially for mid career professionals
So I would like to ask people here who already have experience in the Japanese job market what really helps to be more competitive and to move into management or higher level positions especially in foreign multinationals in Japan
Is it better to focus on single certifications like PMP SAP AWS or Lean Six Sigma for example or are there other programs or elements that make a bigger difference for career advancement in Japan
Any advice from people who have gone through this would be really helpful
