Earthquake on Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula may trigger tsunami in the Pacific Ocean


According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, an earthquake occurred at around 3:58 AM on the 19th, with its epicenter on the eastern coast of Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula. The magnitude of the earthquake is estimated to be 7.8. There is a risk of a tsunami occurring in the Pacific Ocean due to the earthquake. There is also a possibility of slight sea level fluctuations along the coast of Japan.
