My partner and I are traveling to Fukuoka late Feb 2026 heading into March, both landing and departing will be from Fukuoka.
We plan to utilize the 5 days JR Northern Kyushu Pass to explore with this current plan in mind:
- Nagasaki – 2 nights
- Kumamoto – 1 night
- Beppu -2 nights (stop by Yufuin on the way from Kumamoto, no stay)
- Back to Fukuoka after Beppu
Does this make sense or is there a better way to do this? Also, is it allowed to stop by Yufuin and travel for the day trip then board the JR train again to Beppu?
