Tonight I'm taking the Sunflower ferry from Osaka down to Kagoshima, where I'll be staying on a work-away trip. I'm supposed to get to Kanoya where I'll be picked up by my host, but it seems that the only routes to get to Kanoya are to go all of the way to Kagoshima city then down to Kanoya from there, spending too much money and taking way longer than it needs to. My host said there is a bus directly from Shibushi to Kanoya in the morning but I can't find any information about this bus anywhere online, it seems like it doesn't exist.
