I’m curious about whether running a gym here can be profitable, given the market demand, competition, and operational costs. Additionally, I have a budget of 50 million yen for startup costs—do you think this is sufficient to cover essentials like equipment, rent, staffing, and marketing in the initial phase?
Any advice or experiences from those in the fitness industry or familiar with the Japanese market would be greatly appreciated! For example, what are the key challenges, and are there specific locations or business models (e.g., boutique gyms, 24/7 gyms) that tend to perform better?
