My body feels so bloated and constipated these days. Normally I lift during the week and run on the weekends, but I’ve been using the past month and a half to give myself more time to study for Kanji Kentei. Totally hate this feeling and can’t wait to get back into exercise especially now that the weather has cooled down.
I noticed my phone bill this month and it came to almost 11,000 yen. I got to think of a way to stop using it so much. This is getting too much. My problem is that I have a long commute so I am always on it or browsing while I am walking home. I thought of the idea maybe find some kind of kanji app or Japanese reading app or just something else that doesn’t involve using the Internet on the phone.
The ADHD is bad lately. Chasing dopamine, bad concentration, etc. I can normally mostly manage things decently enough, but there are periods where things are harder. I hate the idea of constantly being on stimulants (non-stimulant meds did nothing for me), but I might have to go back to that again (though where to make an appointment in my corner of the inaka is another story entirely).
Mountains of despair at still being alone at this age, feeling trapped in my job/seeing the industry I want to work in be gutted by AI slop while I wait for my pr application to be approved.
Japanese people are fucking oblivious to their surroundings. Even more so if they’re in a group. Was heading to the supermarket after work along a pretty busy stretch of road, and 4 parent-child pairs were blocking the entire footpath because the little kids were excited about some pillbugs, and the parents crowded around them oohing and aahing.
I dislike that paypay has to make a sound upon payment. Why cant we turn it off, it also stops my music player as it takes over the sound control.
Actually feeling like I had to complain about AC being on when it was like, 18 degrees outside. Yes, it’s kind of wet, but it’s doesn’t need to feel like the artic on the bus or train.
What is it with people cycling with an umbrellas up? Is it really worth risking your life to keep a few drops of rain off you? Also, how is it allowed when other naughty behaviour on bicycles is apparently being cracked down on? Been here well over 20 years and it still takes my breath away
I wish 行政書士 would admit (or even better yet, look it up) when they don’t know the answer to a question, rather than giving a half-assed guess that turns out to be (probably) incorrect information
Yesterday on the way to work I ran across (nearly literally) three guys sitting and perusing their smartphones. Where? In the middle of the stairs leading up to the Yamanote Line in Shinjuku Station. Are there some kind of Oblivilympics going on?
Right wing paranoia over a YouTuber who went radio silent after posting a video about Xinjiang. Every post, every video since of his has been picked apart and analyzed for “AI” by bigoted boomers with webcams, hijacking this case to spread their particularly sinophobic hate. It’s been both hilarious and sad. Said YouTuber has finally done a livestream, putting this nonsense to bed, but fuck me…
Well where do I start.
Someone in an adjacent team to me at work did the classic Japan thing of bottling up each dissatisfaction or minor complaint then letting it blow up at once on Friday last week.
Now that his tune has changed, he’s pointing out every single inconsistency trying to make a point. My boss has already had multiple words with their superior, so hopefully they can strong arm him into dealing with stuff calmly. Or otherwise move him to a different team.
This work is ultimately pointless anyway. I hope he learns not to give so much of a shit.
