5 years worth of City Tax payment receipts for PR?

I started getting paperwork together to apply for Permanent Residence and came to this:

イ 直近5年間において住民税を適正な時期に納めていることを証明する資料(通帳の写し、領収証書等)

I always pay the City Tax with the tickets in cash at the conbini, and I do keep the ticket stub receipts that get the date stamp on them for a year or two, but I never even considered that I would need to keep them for 5 years in order to prove prompt payment of them.

Is this actually necessary? Does everyone else who applies for PR actually provide 5 years of these ticket stubs as proof of prompt payment?

Edit: If it's not clear by the questions, I'm attempting to apply through the route of being in Japan for 10+ years.

Edit: Several people are suggesting to get the proof printed from City Hall. I know I can get proof of payment from City Hall (and need to include that proof as well) but I don't think you can get proof of when you paid each ticket from City Hall, hence needing copies of bank books or receipts.
