Not trying to spend too much, don't need anything designer, but want something sturdy and I guess decent looking?
I'm not much of a shopper, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction! Thank you!
edit: thanks for the suggestions like Uniqlo and Amazon, but I’m looking for something more high end than that… but not like Gucci or something that costs half a month’s rent lol. 10,000-30,000 range is good for me
and also would like a cool Japanese brand if possible, thanks!

People will suggest Porter, but I’d go for the lesser-known, but affiliated, Ramidus brand. Store is in Harajuku, just off Meiji-dori.
can’t get cheaper than amazon.
citypack or alpaka? but they tend to run a bit expensive
For something very business looking and not priced like tumi, I like victorinox.
tokyu hands and loft in shibuya have a lot of floor models, but I don’t remember what brands
Ramidus or Master Piece
Uniqlo has a cheap cross carry shoulder bag that is big enough to fit a 13inch MBP and two water bottles without being too bulky.
Yodobashi Camera, Bic Camera, Donki sell bags
Definitely try Hands
Go to Hands or Loft! Hands has a lot of nice looking brands at medium price points, so I think that would be a good start. Loft can be a little more expensive in my experience.
This Assov brand has been sturdy and good. https://as2ov.jp/
Versace Versace Versace
Are you near Ikebukuro? The Parco next to the station has a bag shop on… floor six I think? that has a lot of classy messenger bags. I am a big fan of Mustache and there are some really nice ones in the sub 15k range.
