Do Westerners ever write their name in Kanji?

My name is Quincy. I realise that my name's syllables can be split into ク・イン・シー, each with their own Kanji, so it could potentially be written as 九員椎.

I imagine this would just look like gibberish to native speakers, or at the very least kinda cringe, but does this ever happen? Is it at all common to see Westerners transliterate their names in Kanji?
