I'm an ALT through the JET program. The job's fine, but I hate the location. Isolated, far from everything, I need to drive everywhere, no social opportunities, and I'm extremely bored on the weekends. Traveling is expensive, I can only do that occasionally.
I want to get away from here, but I don't want to go back to the US as I don't see a future there. Has anyone gone to grad school in Japan? Is there anything I need to know about applying/etc?
