Simple question i guess…I can't seem to get through to immigration via the phone to check on what's going on with my visa renewal so I'd like to visit one of the offices to check on it.
Some notes below:

Did the online renewal 8/1 and it was successfully accepted, then received an update 9/1 to submit additional documents, which I submitted same day. No updates since then.

Current visa has expired 9/25….I have the paper that I have to carry around everywhere now that auto extends my status by 2 months, but I'm starting to get worried about having no updates. Especially since I've had friends that submitted their renewals early sept and have already received their renewed visas.

I guess my question is…can I go to either Tachikawa or Shinagawa to check on the status of my visa in person, or would I have to go to a specific one? Also, do I need to carry anything with me?
Apologies for the possibly dumb questions, but I'm just trying to prepare and go to one of the offices this upcoming week
