Sapporo recommendations

Hello people,

I’ll be arriving in Tokyo in 1st week of November and leaving from Tokyo to Fukuoka after 9 days. Between these days I’m planning to go to Sapporo for 4 days, and Nikko for 2 days.

I’ve heard about the Beer Garden, Mt. Moiwa, Hill of the Buddha, Shiroikoibito Park among the attractions. Are these any must visit places in Sapporo that go under the radar?

And is the Tokyo-Sapporo Shinkansen route worth travelling for 8 hours?

My itinerary is completely flexible, so I can spend some extra days in Sapporo or other places in Hokkaido.
