I’ll be traveling to Japan this winter with my own snowboard gear (not renting) and will be spending a few days each in Nozawa Onsen and Shiga Kogen.
I’ve read that both resorts have coin lockers near the gondolas (eg. Nagasaka Center House, Yamanoeki, etc.), but based on the dimensions I found (around W 52.6 × H 87.5 × D 87.5 cm), they seem way too small for a full snowboard or skis.
I’m trying to figure out:
– Are there large lockers or storage rooms that fit full snowboards/skis?
– Can I leave my own gear overnight (not rental gear)?
– Any specific shops or facilities that offer overnight storage for personal gear for a small fee?
I won’t be staying in slope-side hotels, so it’d be awesome to leave my board near the lifts instead of hauling it back every day. We have a car but afraid it won’t be large enough to fit the group’s gears.
