I can’t open a bank account because my visa has less than 3 months validity, what do I do?

I got a job and they're refusing to pay me my salary, asking me to open a bank account.

But I can't because my visa is expiring and has less than 3 months validity.

I've submitted the renewal application for it but Tokyo Shinagawa takes months.

What am I supposed to do? I asked for cash salary but the HR person refused. Saying it's illegal etc isn't very useful for me, I'm on probation so being an ass towards HR just gets me screwed.
