Living in Osaka

I’m an Australian who’s just spent some time in Japan.

My favourite city on every level has been Osaka and the general surrounding area (cities attached to cities is crazy to me).

Anyway I don’t necessarily have to work but do like being occupied.

I ponder what it would be like to buy a cheap run down house, fix it myself, and drive a cool car and have a kei truck or something like that for my Bunnings (hardware store) equivalent trips.

How hard is it to get a working visa in Japan? What’s the process? I’m not fussed with what I do. I’d like to contribute somehow, maybe in a charitable way or something that gives back to society.

Could my pondering become a reality?
