pension payment warnings

Hey guys, I’m really confused about my pension situation and hoping someone can help.

I used to work freelance, and my old company didn’t pay for my pension, health insurance, or taxes, so I never got any pension slips. When I switched to a full-time job, I suddenly got two years’ worth of pension slips all at once. It was a lot of money which i didn’t have so I went to my local pension office, and they gave me an exemption and I only had to pay six months’ worth instead of the full two years. They also let me pay monthly, on the 10th of each month.

Everything was fine until September, when I was traveling and paid on the 18th instead of the 10th. After that, I got a letter saying I hadn’t paid and needed to pay the remaining 3 months all at once. I called them and they said it’s fine if I already paid, so I didn’t worry.

So last month (in September), I got a call from iVisit, and they said I still owed about three months’ worth of pension. I told them I had already paid for September, and that I still had to pay for October and November, which I planned to do. I also explained that I had already spoken to the Pension Office, and they told me it was fine and I could keep paying monthly and they asked me what date will you pay and i said 15th October and 15th November because my salary payment date had changed.

I paid again on October 15th, which was my second-to-last pension slip, and now I only have one payment left (for November).

But even after paying, I just got another letter from the Pension Office saying I was late and now need to pay about ¥33,000 all at once. I don’t understand why I’m still getting these letters when I’ve already paid and informed them about everything. 😩
