PR application at risk due to lay off Need advice/Options

As the title suggests I am in a bit of a sticky situation.

I am currently working for a US/UK MSP under a PEO(professional employer organization) here in Japan. I applied for PR under them using the HSP with over 80 points. I had around 90-95 points at the time of my application and I applied last year June 28th, 2024. ( we are at month 16 for the wait)
So around 2-3 months to go on average.

The issue is, the company that I work for has gone through several c-level changes especially after their loss of many Japanese clients. I have been fighting a layoff with them since early this year stressing how important it is for my PR application to go undisturbed.

I have communicated with my PEO letting them know of the situation and they effectively asked me not to think of hypotheticals and that if the contact between the company I work for is cancelled that would effectively end my employment with the PEO.

I am 正社員 with the PEO and that’s all the government sees. Has anyone experience a lay off during their PR application? What are my options to ensure I get PR? The stress is killing me and no one on each side is giving me answers. Any advice is appreciated.
