Wanting to buy some less traditional meats for cooking. I see these meats frequently at French restaurants so I feel like there must be a supplier that also sells to nicer grocery stores, but I haven’t found anything yet. Already tried the department store supers, Friend Foods..
duck, lamb, deer, etc.
Thanks.

Duck is easy. Can be found at a lot of grocery stores. Just look for 鴨🦆 (kamo) for duck. Same with lamb ラム or 羊肉 .
Deer is a bit harder.
some of the bigger aeon maIIs carry the Iess common stuff. or some gyomus have it frozen
Online you can get a wide range of meets delivered from[ the Meat Guy](https://www.themeatguy.jp/?srsltid=AfmBOoo60bH12ksGgjVhPsSL8egiQTBK9Ex5ocB-w3JUKmbIm03uOPup) or from any number of shops on Rakuten. If you want to buy something off the shelf there is a good meet shop right next the shotengai at Demachiyanagi.
You can get frozen horse at Lawsons.

Near Demachiyanagi, mainly imported meat such as Hungarian duck, French quail, rabbit, dear, lamb etc.
If you want locally sourced, you need to go to countryside for gibier market, closest one for me would be weekend market in Ohara but there are many deer n boar meat shops to choose from
Bear meat is cheap this year
Search “ジビエ” as deer.
