I recently came across a forum that was doing a weekly book club in which they read a beginner manga (よつばと!) and then would get together to talk about the story + the parts they had a difficult time understanding.
Is there anything like this in person in Tokyo? I'd love to meet with other beginner Japanese learners to make friends and help each other grow!
