Balding in late 30s. Any advice?

I knew this was coming, my mothers Grandfather went bald. I think I learned in Bio 11 that my genetic destiny was pretty set at that point.

Balding just at the crown, and I am tall so it took a while to realize. I am definitely not in the "just shave it" phase. I am in the, "oh, it is thinning a bit", phase.

I went for full-bore, オオサカ堂.-> 5mg minoxidil / 1mg finasteride +Amazon Rogaine (topical minoxidil).

I guess I am in for 3 months of accelerated loss, and then I see if the treatment starts to take?

Question -> Is it still worth going to a dermatologist?
