I’ve watched a couple of Korean flight reviews of AirJapan, and they’re kinda ehhh. They’re not the cheapest or the ones with the most value and they also have clunky systems. It doesn’t seem to be a great loss. The routes they did launch on are done by Zipair, and they’ve done work to their airplanes to differentiate themselves from the narrowbody LCCs flying on those routes.
Plus, they’re sorta competing with themselves on those routes. Peach flies between Osaka and all the destinations that AirJapan has. They even do Incheon to Haneda (at a horrible time though).
I wonder how it would’ve gone if they had instead added the 787s to Peach and got them to fly to the USA and Australia.
That was actually a great airline, this sucks
flown with them regularly from singapore since they launched. really enjoyed getting drunk on the plane for far cheaper than it would take in sg
