Student visas in Japan — how do you manage work, study, and finances?

Hey everyone 👋

I’m currently in Japan on a Working Holiday Visa, but I’ve been thinking about switching to a Student Visa next year.

I understand that student visas limit your working hours to around 28 hours per week, and I’m curious how people realistically manage their finances under those restrictions — especially with rent, food, transportation, and school fees?

And if you have any recommendations in Tokyo for language schools please let me know!
