Question for Japanes locals: how tangible is the demographic problem?

Hi everyone! I’m an Italian student who loves learning about Asian societies.
I’ve read a lot about the demographic challenges in Japan and Korea (low birth rates, aging population, shrinking workforce).

For those of you living there:
– Do you personally feel this problem in everyday life?
– Is it something visible (for example, fewer children, mostly elderly people), or more like something you hear on the news?
