Girls bar manager arrested on suspicion of controlled prostitution after female employees were monitored by GPS and forced to wait for customers around Okubo Park


TL;DR On Oct.15, Tokyo Metropolitan Police announced they arrested Yaoya Suzuki (39), a manager of girls' bar "E-Wave Morning" in Ikebukuro, and Wasai Tano (21), employee of the same bar, on suspicion of forcing a female employee to prostitute.

Between May and July, the two men are suspected of having a female employee (27) put on a GPS to monitor her location and then having her wait for customers around Okubo Park in Shinjuku's Kabukicho district to engaging in prostitution.

When questioned by the police, Suzuki denied the charges, while Tano admitted to the charges, saying he "monitored her and forced her into prostitution."
