‘My Number’ national ID cards of 245 Nagoya residents invalidated due to system glitch

According to the city, the system malfunction happened Aug. 12 during a software update of the Basic Resident Registration network. A configuration error by the service provider temporarily disrupted data transfers between the systems of the city and national governments.
