I just moved from a mansion that had a dryer in the shower room for drying laundry, to my own home that also has this feature. (浴室乾燥機)
I’m finding that the new dryer does not actually dry very well and I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong. In my old mansion, the room would become very steamy and the entire room, including the floors, would dry. In my new home, the room does not steam at all and the floors and bathtub stay wet even after 10 hours of constantly running the dryer. My clothes also only dry from the top half, the bottom half of my pants and towels do not dry, and usually this takes about 6 hours, versus my old place that took 3 hours. (The default setting at my new place is 3 hours, I have to run it twice) Even running the 換気 or the 24-hour one doesn’t do much in terms of keeping the room dry. I realize drying isn’t the main function of these devices, but it worked perfectly before and just seems weak now, and I’m wondering if it’s broken or if the device is just weaker than the one I had before
I’ve looked at the instruction booklet and it seems I’m not doing anything wrong, but I wonder if there’s something I may be overlooking and if anyone has any similar experience. I’m feeling kinda bummed that I can’t get my clothes completely dry indoors like I used to be able to.
