Secretary generals of CDP, Nippon Ishin, and DPFP met. CDP’s Azumi called for unifying behind a single candidate for prime ministerial while the DPFP asked for stance on zero nuclear power


On Oct. 14, CDP secretary general Azumi, Nippon Ishin secretary general Nakatsuka, and DPFP secretary general Shimba met and agreed to hold a three-party leader meeting on the 15th to determine whether cooperation is possible.

On Oct. 14, LDP, which is seeking to nominate Takaichi as prime minister, talked with DPFP and Nippon Ishin. They also plans to hold separate leader meetings with the CDP, Nippon Ishin, DPFP on Oct. 15.

CDP is trying to unify on a DPFP's Tamaki as a prime minister candidate while DPFP seeks agreement of basic policies such as security and zero nuclear power as a prerequisite.
