On Oct. 11, residents of Sanda, Hyogo met to discuss city's plan to rise garbage bag price from 15 yen to 35 yen. The city wants to rise the price to cover 9.3 billion yen shortfall from plan to build new waste treatment plant and a new hospital.
Resident group is calling for the city to find other means instead of rising garbage bag prices because it would affect residents' daily lives.
