The two would exchange slaps and submission attempts, before the power of love would intervene, with referee Matsui refusing to count the 3 on Brookes at one point, as well as Antonio Honda ultimately refusing to hit ZSJ with a chair. Zack would manage to catch Chris with a European Clutch for the 3-count at the end. The two Brits would kiss and hold hands as they exited down the ramp.
– IWGP WHC Konosuke Takeshita would team with Kasei Takechi to take on Kazusada Higuchi & Takeshi Masada. Match would see Higuchi be more than a match for both Takeshita and Takechi with his strength and chops, only for Masada to get absolutely obliterated by Takeshita when the two shared the ring. Masada would hold his own against Takeshita by the end, only for Takeshita to hammer him with an Elbow, a Knee Strike, and finishing Masada off with the "Raging Fire" while Takechi held Higuchi back. Afterwards, the two teams would shake hands and embrace, only for Takechi to refuse to shake his own tag parter Takeshita's hand, with the two getting face-to-face, perhaps signaling things to come.
