Public high schools (公立高校) or private high schools (私立高校) or Part-time high schools (定時制高校) ?

As a foreign junior high school student (中学生) who's lived in Japan for about 2 years and is about to graduate in 4 months, I had an interest in going to a public technical school (公立工業) as an electric engineering major (電気科), but due to my recent performance in my exams lately, I'm finding it difficult to know if I could pass the entrance test (入試) because, you know, it's a public high school test. I get an average score of 180 in a total of 5 subjects (五教科計), of which my highest ever was 215, which wouldn't get me into any public high schools. I am choking with subjects like social studies (社会) and Japanese (国語). I am currently strengthening math (数学), science (理科), and English (英語). My homeroom teacher (who is a technologies teacher) suggested going to a private technical high school. That I have a great ability in English and can be useful later on in high school. My dad too thought it'd be good to go there since private high schools (私立) have good merits like getting higher "qualifications (資格)" than that of public schools (meaning getting jobs will be easier), advanced machines, and getting into universities. But I think it's costly for me, and my senior foreign friend suggested to me that it's a waste of money and that I should go to a technical part-time high school (定時制高校) since it's cheap and convenient with merits like getting to do part-time jobs in free time. But it's 4 years, and it's in the evening; without any club activities, I feel like I wouldn't even last a second without feeling bored that I am still learning days rather than being free. So, I am confused about going into these high schools. Yet if you have any opinions, please share them with me 🙏 or any tips to increase my academic scores. It'll be most appreciated if you'd like to tell me about electric engineering major in Japan. Whether if it's Worth it or not. Thank you…
