Is it feasible to get a job hunting bears as a foreigner in Japan?

Hello, yes this is a real question. Japan has seen a rise in bear attacks recently. The army has even been called in to help with logistics but they can't actually fight the bears themselves, they're fought by independent bear hunters who are typically senior citizens. Would local residents be accepting of a 25 year old American coming to help? I'll be in Tokyo next year on study abroad but am considering lengthing my stay to volunteer with bear hunters in the countryside.
