Hi everyone, this is my second time in Tokyo but my first time in Nagano. Hotels are booked, but I'd like to know if the order looks okay and whether I should include or exclude anything!

Itinerary Overview

Day 1 Sunday | Arrival & Shinjuku Evening

• Arrive Haneda Airport – 18:00
• Limo bus to Shinjuku
• Check in
• Dinner at Gyukatsu Motomura
• Night: Explore the neighborhood, karaoke bar
• Stay: Shinjuku (3 nights)

Day 2 — Monday | Anime Time

• Ikebukuro: Sunshine City, Otome Road
• Nakano Broadway
• Dinner: Maguro Mart
• Night: Jojo's Bar if open

Day 3 — Tuesday | City Exploration

• Check out Harajuku/Cat Street
• Shibuya PARCO
• Dinner: Ebisu-Yokocho food stall hopping
• Nakameguro: Night river walk, explore, speakeasy?

Day 4 — Wednesday | Matsumoto

• Train to Matsumoto via Limited Express (~2.5 h)
• Matsumoto Castle: kimono rental?
• Nawate-dori
• Ukiyo-e Museum
• Former Kaichi School
• Stay: Matsumoto (1 night)

Day 5 — Thursday | Matsushiro/Yudanaka

• Train to Azumino (~30 min)
• Rent a bike to Daio Wasabi Farm at 9 am open
• Train to Shinonoi –> bus to Matsushiro (~1.5 h)
• Castle ruins
• Sanada Treasure Hall/Family Residence
• Bunbu School
• WW2 Tunnels
• Bus to Nagano –> Yudanaka (~1.5 h)
• Dinner at ryokan
• Stay: Shibu Onsen ryokan (2 nights)

Day 6 — Friday | Snow Monkey/Onsen Day

• Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park
• Train to Obuse (30 min)
• Hokusai Museum, chestnuts
• Train to Yudanaka (30 min)
• Enjoy onsens

Day 7 — Saturday | More Anime Time

• Train to Nagano –> Tokyo via Hokuriku Shinkansen (~3 h)
• Akihabara arcades, shopping, etc.
• Train to Odaiba (~20 min)
• Stay: Odaiba (1 night)

Day 8 — Sunday | Odaiba & Departure

• Explore Odaiba
• Leave for airport around 13:00 for flight

Looking for feedback

• Is this too busy or pretty manageable?
• Any transportation tips/passes I should know about?
• Has anyone biked to the Wasabi Farm? Any tips or advice about biking in Japan?
• I heard December is a good time to see Mt. Fuji, but the itinerary seems packed to fit in any day trips there. Are there any convenient places along the itinerary route where it could be visible?
