Is it worth thinking about studying in Japan?

Hello, I'm a 11th grade student, I'm currently at my second semester. During the summer and recently I have been thinking of studying in Japan for my 12th grade via an exchange program. For high school students, I've seen Asia Kakehashi project+ as the only options of sort or the general consensus of recommendation. AKP is also a stand out because it has said that it offers a full scholarship, my family is not well off, so that is a major concern if there are high expenses and possible expenses not covered by the scholarship itself.

Another major concern is the logistics of it all, if I do a full year abroad, would that count as me actually graduating and completing my senior year? After high school, would there be any difficulty applying for a uni at my own country due to the fact I studied abroad? Do I have to do extra classes? etc.

As for why I'm not going to Japan for my uni years and apply for MEXT and just wait out my last years in high school, I'm interested in going to my own countries university and studying there. Also I heard from other redditors, although it depends on the uni and the inviduals experiences, that they didn't really have the best learning experiences. But of course it could be a different story for me as well.

As for why i want to go abroad and study, it is definitely more of a personal reason, which may sound awful to some, but regardless I still want to experience what it's like and the culture. I also thought of going for better education.

However, I do acknowledge that this dream is just merely a dream, although I'm working hard on my studies and teaching myself japanese, I wouldn't be necessarily be disappointed if anyone told me that it's won't probably be worth it to go etc.

I would grateful if you share any of your advice or even experiences. Thank you for reading this post.
