I’m a Japanese citizen looking to convert my Australian drivers license to a Japanese drivers license (i.e, Gaimen kirikae). Upon reading the criteria for a conversion, I came to a quick conclusion that since I don’t have a Jūminhyō (since I grew up and resided in Australia), I am disqualified from being able to get a conversion. Is there any exception or work-around this particular issue?
