TL;DR LDP President Sanae Takaichi is not planning to attend Yasukuni Shrine during autumu festival this season. She has been visiting the shrine on the anniversary of the end of the war and during spring and autumn festivals before.
Komeito leader Tetsuo Saito has warned Takaichi that visiting the shrine can become a diplomatic issue when he met her on Oct. 7th.
She will also be exploring an opportunity to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting to be held in South Korea from the end of the month.
