Hi everyone! I’ll be arriving at Haneda Airport and spending about 9 days in Japan (Apr 1–10, 2026) to catch the cherry blossom season.
Arrival – Around 9am
Depart – Around 12an
I’d love some advice or suggestions on:
A 9-day itinerary that lets me enjoy sakura without always being stuck in big crowds
Recommended areas to stay (Tokyo, Kyoto, or maybe Osaka?) — hotels or Airbnbs that are quiet but convenient
Food spots worth trying that locals like (not super touristy)
Whether I should get a JR Pass or just use regional passes / IC cards
Any tips for less crowded cherry blossom viewing spots around Tokyo or Kyoto
Anything else I should know for traveling during sakura season
