  1. Are you a registered doctor, nurse, chiropractor, physiotherapist, vet surgeon, pharmacist, dentist, legal practitioner, attorney? Are you a minister of religion or marriage celebrant? A Justice of the Peace? In the defence force? Or more!!!! Please please please keep reading

The deadline for submission of my partners permanent parter visa has been unexpectedly pushed forward and we need our signed statutory declarations witnessed within the next 2 weeks.

We will travel to you and are more than willing to pay you for your time. We can meet you at basically any time that works for you.

Please check out the attached picture and let me know if you meet the criteria.

We are stressed and desperate for help. The Australian Embassy in Osaka has no available time slots to see us before the submission deadline.

  2. It has to be in person i assume? Otherwise you could make find a justice of the peace in aus and get them to post it back.

  3. I’m a teacher employed full time in Japan (licensed only here) so I’m not sure if the Australian government accepts that. Let me know if I can somehow help. Always happy to help out a fellow Aussie!

  4. Not quite the same, but when renewing my license a year back I also needed a certified witness.

When I called and explained I am not in Aus I was told either a local police officer in Japan or the local consulate can do it for me.
I went with police, I didn’t have any issues besides having to explain the whole procedure to them. No dramas on renewing my license.

You may be able to do the same. Give them a call and double check.

  5. The Australian Consulate Osaka is the only place you will beable to find someone who can witness a stat Dec. You can email or call them for more information.

Edit: Didn’t see your reply in comments, you’ve already tried. Hopefully it’s not too urgent and you can wait a bit. Maybe someone on vacation could sign it I guess is another option (not legal advice).
