Trump believes that trade is a zero sum game. Rather than trade and defence treaties being mutually beneficial he thinks that in anything there is a winner and a loser.
Of course the orange Manchurian candidate feels that way. He’s been making great strides decimating all historical strong ties the US has had with it’s allies, destroying the very fabric what made the US, the US. Godspeed America, y’all going to need it.

Japan should rearm independently and simultaneously reach out to its Asian neighbors to make peace. Forget the west. East and Southeast Asia will be the economic engine of the 21st and 22nd century. Nothing else matters.
