Booked a trip to okinawa for the first week of December and will basically have 4 full days(landing at night and having a 1pm flight back)
I saw that I can spend 2 full days in naha but was wondering what to do with my last 2 days.
Is it worth to rent a car for the last 2 days and travel out of naha or should I just take the public transport?
As for renting a car since I will mainly be in naha for 2 days, I don't know if I should rent a car from the first day or just from my third day onward?

Rent a car when you leave Naha.
Use taxis and transit within Naha, not too expensive
I went Okinawa for 8 days. Would die if I didn’t have a car. Parking is cheap and easy to find, usually free outside of Naha. Traffic is ok within Naha itself. Better if you avoid the peak to and fro work hours. Of all Japanese cities, I think Okinawa is one of the easiest places to drive around.
Rent a car and travel north. Go to Cape Hedo, hike at Asumi, check out Kouri beach, Nakajin castle ruins. I was super hesitant about driving but it was super chill. Have fun!
My highlight of my 2 day Okinawa stay was my little road trip north so I’d say definitely do it.
Yep. Rent a car. Make sure you have the correct license. Go north. Have fun!
