Hey guys, so my husband and I are going to Okayama for his conference from Nov. 19 to Nov. 22. We are flying from Haneda to Okayama on early morning of 19th Nov. and for the last day, we are thinking of catching the bullet train to Hiroshima for a day trip.
We have booked a hotel within 5 min walking distance of Okayama Station, though check in is not before 3 pm. My husband has his presentation on Nov. 21, so I have the whole day to fill by myself. He also has early morning registration for conference on Nov 20 so our day 2 doesn’t start before 10:30 am at least.
Here’s out itinerary, hoping everything will go as planned:
Day: 1, Nov. 19
Land in Okayama 9:30 am > 35 mins bus ride from the airport to the station > keep luggage in coin locker > kurashiki bikan quatret > lunch > handayama botanical garden > check in at hotel around 5 pm
Day 2: Nov. 20
korakuen garden + okayama crow castle > lunch > washuzan
Day 3: Nov. 21, solo
cycling through Kibi plains by myself > lunch > hit up some of the museums
Day 4: Nov. 22
Check out form hotel as earlyas possible > luggage goes to coin locker > Catch the bullet train to Hiroshima > itsukushima island > lunch > peace memorial > hoping to be back in Okayama by 5:30 pm to catch our flight at 7:40 pm
Any feedback or tips are welcome. Also what are some suggestions for what to do in the evenings since most places like museums or gardens close around 5 pm ( aside from dinner obviously), also we are not the types to drink so.
