On Oct 1 as Takaichi left LDP headquarter building, she told a group of reporters waiting for her that everybody should value work-life balance. She then told reporters that she's working hard right now, but mentioned to reporters waiting on her that it's Sunday.
After being elected president on the 4th, Takaichi caused a stir by declaring to her lawmakers, "I want everyone to work like a horse. I myself will also abandon the term work-life balance."
