I am going on an 8-day winter hiking trip that starts in Kyoto but before that will spent a few days in both Tokyo and Kyoto. I've been reading up on what I might want to do in both places but curious if anyone has thoughts on activities I might especially want to do (or not do) in both places given the season – like Philosophers Path in Kyoto for example.
