My wife and I have planned a 21 day honeymoon trip focused on trying to hit our must do' and trying to relax at onsens as much as possible. Like most people here we love eating, sightseeing and anime and are trying to pack as much in but without doing too much.
This is our first time and we are bit overwhelmed such that we would love a sanity check of our itinerary and would love to hear your thoughts!
Dates: November 16 (Arrive HND) – December 6 (Depart HND)

PART 1: Tokyo (4 Nights)
Day 1: Arrive at Haneda at 7pm, check in to hotel (Shinjuku) and find something to eat
Day 2: Open day as we dont know how Jetlag will hit us
Day 3: Senso-ji Temple → Nakamise St → Explore either Akihabara OR Nakano Broadway
Day 4: Meiji Jingu Shrine → Explore Harajuku (Takeshita St) & Omotesando → Shibuya Sky (Sunset) → Explore Shibuya
**Forward Luggage to Fukuoka

PART 2: Beppu (2 Nights)
Day 5: Fly to Beppu, drop off stuff and explore 7 Hells → Hyotan Onsen
Day 6: Explore either Kifune Castle or Takasakiyama Monkeys ? → Yuyama no Sato Onsen → Yukemuri Observatory (Sunset)

PART 3: Fukuoka (3 Nights)
Day 7: Travel to Fukuoka to Daizafu Tenmangu Shrine → LaLa Port shopping mall to see Gundam Statue
Day 8: Teamlab Forest → Ohori Park → Shopping at Hakata and Canal City Mall
Day 9: Nanzoin Temple → Train to Uminonakamichi seaside park and rent a tandem bicycle and explore → nakagawaseiryu Onsen

PART 4: Osaka (4 Nights)
Day 10: Catch a train to Osaka and explore Umeda and Dotonbori in the evening
Day 11: Universal Studios Japan (USJ)
- We bought the speed pass, should we still need to arrive early or can we rely on the timed entry for everything?
Day 12: Pick up rental car and drive to Naruto x Boruto park Nijigen no mori
- We decided to rent a car so wont be beholden to the bus times and in case we just want to take things slow after USJ is there anything we should try and see on Awaji Island?
Day 13: Open day to explore and wander

PART 5: Kinosaki (2 Nights)
Day 14: Train to Hotel → Check in and explore the 7 Mystic Onsens
Day 15: Onsenji Temple Hike → Rope way down and explore town → More Mystic Onsens

PART 6: Kyoto (2 Nights)
Day 16: Train to Hotel → Nishiki Market → Kyoto Sanjo Shopping Street
Day 17: Giōji Temple → Sagano Romantic Train and Kameoka Hozugawa River Boat Ride back → What can we explore past sunset besides Arashiyama?
**Forward Luggage to Tokyo

PART 7: Hakone (2 Nights)
Day 18: Yasaka Pagoda → Travel to Hakone Train up to Gora and check into our Ryokan. Spend the rest of the day relaxing, using the Onsen, and enjoying the Kaiseki dinner.
Day 19: Do we need a full day for the Hakone Loop? Ropeway then boat and then train back to Ryokan

PART 8: Tokyo (1 Night)
Day 20: Train to Ginza Hotel and explore where we feel we might have missed
Day 21: Open day Evening: Head to HND for our flight home, sadness will kick in here!
